The British Embassy in Moscow is the chief diplomatic mission of the United Kingdom in the Russian Federation. It is located at 10 Smolenskaya Naberezhnaya (Russian: Смоленская набережная, 10) in the Arbat District of Moscow.[1] The land on which the Embassy is built measures 0.92 hectares and was exchanged in the 1960s for two sites in London[2]
In 2007 a sculpture of Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson as portrayed by Vasily Livanov and Vitaly Solomin was erected on the embankment alongside the embassy (sculptor Andrey Orlov). [3]
